Assalamualaikum brothers & sisters.

I am a fan of history but not that good in Islamic history. I am a Malaysian, and what I knew about Turkey were the country's financial problems, women were not encouraged to wear scarves (correct me if i'm wrong) and the blue mosque.

last night's presentation fill a gap in my history knowledge.

1) When I came back home, I refer to my world history chart* and found no name of Sultan Mehmet Murat. And I was a bit confused on Suleiman & Sultan Mehmet. I recalled the presentation and noticed that the brother speaker did not actually 'link' Suleiman & Sultan Mehmet. In my chart, Suleiman is dubbed as 'the magnificent Suleimen' but in the presentation, 'Sultan Mehmet' is said as 'the magnificent Sultan'. So, can you please elaborate on this.

2) I didnt know that the Janisseries (I'm not sure of its spelling) was a very significant unit during the battle. I suggest the speakers to emphasize on this unit more because when I read my chart, this unit was described as an utmost important unit due to their laborous training, sharp minded, etc. Although the speaker did say something about the unit, but i think it will be more interesting if they can show the illustration of the Janisseries.

3) I would like to suggest you guys to use 'world history chart'. I've bought it few years back and if you are fan of history, i'm sure you will like it. Nevertheless, you can actually use that for presetation as well.

That's all.

Assalamualaikum

The Sulaiman I mentioned in the presentation was Sulaiman ibn Abdul Malik a 8th century Ummayad Caliph. Please don't confuse with with the Ottoman sultan, Suleiman the magnificent.

Where can I get the 'World History Chart'?

oooo...okay ! thank you. Now it makes sense.

You may order the world chart history from its website http://www.hyperhistory.com/. However, I have the feelings that the author might be a Jewish because of its emphasis on Jewish history/victory so on (or maybe I am a bit sceptical).

Anyway, if we are academician/historian or whoever wants to find the truth, I'm sure we will take it as 'another view point' in our literature readings.

Insya Allah, only He will drive us to think rightfully.

To tell why I really love my world chart history, is because of many things.

1. It describes a very fair & respected description on Rasulullah saw, Muslims caliphates, scientists, poets, admirals.

2. The chart provides us with parallel events. For example, you can see while Sultan Mehmet was trying to conquer Constatinople, what were happening around the world at that time. Eg, what happened in China, India, Britain. Who were the greatest leaders, scientists, poets, financiers in the era, or which art masterpiece was produced or book that was written.

3. We can actually know the logic behind one event, eg, the begining of a destruction or the beginning of one victory. The chart starts during the era of Nabi Daud (written as David) up to year 2000.

Hopefully u guys like it and I really hope it can help you synthesize the logic behind an event.

Wassalam.

InshaaAllaah I will make it to the future ones.

Assalamu Alaykum,

kusuruma bakmayin benim ingilizcem sizinkisi kadar iyi olmadigi icin türkce yaziyorum.

Benim merak ettigim bu Conquest of Constantinople Traileri, bu gercekten Sinemalara girecekmi?

Eger Sinemalara girecek olursa gercekten sahane olur, yanliz benim süphe ettigim, bu Trailer Can Atilla nin Sultanlar Askina klipindede oynadigi icin, kimin tarafindan hazirlandigi.

_____________________________________________________________________________

I'm sorry but my english isn't properly that's why i write down in turkish first (look up).

My question is, will this really comes to theatres (Conquest of Constantinople).

If this will come to theatres it'll be great.

But i don't know who prepared this Trailer, because it's the clip of Can Atilla's Sultanlar Askina.

Whatever, i think it would be a great movie. I looked (searched) in the I-Net about release dates but had nothin found.

But if you're planning to bring this Movie out in Theatres, please make it in several dubs (Languages). I would buy this later on DVD or Blu-Ray (Blu-Ray would be better "1080p"), and i would be happy if i can select between different Languages (German, Turkish, English, Russian).

Many Thanks in advance for this great work.

Wa `Alaykum as-Salaam

The Conquest of Constantinople was a presentation which utilised multimedia, it was not a film or documentary.

Assalamu Alaykum

The trailer for this project looks very nice and im eager to watch it.
But it has been a long while and it seems things has gone to the grave?
Is this true? And if not what is the current status of the project?

Thank you

Brother Eneswar,

Because the introduction to the presentation was advertised so beautifully maashaaAllaah, people fell under the impression that what was presented was a movie or some multimedia presentation of sorts, w'Allaahu A`lam.

Please refer to Akhunaa Musa's comment:

. . .

The Conquest of Constantinople was a presentation which utilised multimedia, it was not a film or documentary.

InshaaAllaah that clears things up a bit more Smiley
